The small kiln is the perfect choice for a household who wants to invest growing their own off-grid cooking energy. Approximate yield is 100kgs biomass creates 25-30kgs charcoal. Yield depends on the density of the biomass (e.g. maize cobs versus hardwood like Prosopis juliflora/mathenge).
Easily make your own charcoal from tree branch prunings, dried maize cobs, bamboo offcuts or even coconut husks. We also offer the option to add on a stainless steel smoke trap pipe, which enables you to collect 5-10liters wood smoke vinegar, ideal for pest control and fertilizer.
